Am I missing something? If Harry and Megan want to see family why don't they just invite them to stay with them in California? For a holiday, or a few days break?

I expect if they had and he'd refused, Harry would be telling everyone about it, he's not exactly known for keeping things private.

If they had and such an offer had been declined, I think it’s very likely we would have known about it.

H&M have hardly been shy about making public any perceived slight from his side family.

Then again they may been keeping their powder dry on this one for the next book…..

...it wouldn't be a drama worthy of orchestrated media.
...it wouldn't portray H&M as heroic victims and wonderful parents.
...it might involve a public apology, because everything must be in public.

As far as I'm concerned, H. and his kids are welcome in the UK anytime, I'd be happy for him and the kids to live here permanently.

He could stay in Buckingham Palace for a while - remember, this was offered to him last time he came, but he refused. I wonder who ordered him to do that?

God why would they accept such an offer when Harry and Meghan sell every text, hint and utterance to the media? The royal family are trying to keep some remnants of privacy. Those two are a liability.

Imagine telling every family member what you thought of them. Telling the world that you physically fought your brother and then saying two years later ‘Hey wanna come to LA and visit us?’

Maybe they have invited him but maybe KC3 has watched Netflix and isn't impressed by the hosting on offer and doesn't want weeds sprinkled all over his breakfast.

I’m sure on a previous thread someone explained that there is protocol about a HofS visiting other countries. But even if there wasn’t, or it was ignored, can you imagine the media uproar? And, ironically, the security nightmare. I wonder if he could go secretly? Where’s John le Carre when you need him!

Maybe even the king can't afford the travel insurance for going to America while having cancer treatment. Just like all the other poor sods priced out who live there.

I’ve been amusing myself wondering Charles could travel incognito. I’m thinking sequestering himself to grow a beard. A new haircut. A wardrobe of M&S casual/cruise wear. Voice is difficult because it’s very distinctive, even among the posh, so maybe laryngitis? His travelling companion-maybe very chic American? Maybe a little younger, but not very.
