Should I wake baby if he slept longer than usual?

Ds just turned 7 months slept all night for the first time last night which I thought was good but then I put him down for a nap at 9 this morning as he was tired and usually has an hour but he’s still asleep over 2 and half later. Should I be worried and wake him up?

Still asleep after 3 hours, is this just a growth spurt?

I wouldn’t wake them but I’d think an illness was on the way if sleeping that much.

How is he now @whatswhaty?

AttachmentFTW · 03/05/2025 12:44

I imagine he's probably poorly, fighting some sort of virus. My littles always sleep more if they are a bit ill.

AnonWho23 · 03/05/2025 12:46

I wouldn't. I'd let them sleep.

He’s just woken up now after 4 hours and he’s as happy as can be so he obviously just needed it

7 months my little boy took a massive turn in sleep, would sleep all night and then day if I let him. I started calling his naps.
6.30 awake
9-10am nap
1-3pm nap
6.30 bed

he still does this at 15 months and always sleeps through.

unless poorly I do cap them to make sure he sleeps at night x
