Silva beach Crete, not a kids hotel but good reviews for the money. Family rooms in dated annexe over the road ….:

From a quick glance at the tripadvisor I’d go with the first one. Second one looks too AI resort for my taste - but I presume that’s kinda what you’re going for.

The one with better food and a nicer beach would generally be my preference.

I think with kids - if young - I’d go for second option

Weather will be better in Crete so I’d go there.

What is the weather like at that time of year? Not Majorca if you wanted to use the pool.

Thank you. Yes Crete def better for weather (and food). But we might get shoved in the smeggy family annexe area over the road from main hotel. Am awaiting response from hotel about room options !

Budget £4k and wanted AI and decent hotel , not too big and brash , beachfront …. so limited choice.

I am looking at similar hotels: thinking about going to the Marsenses....my daughter will love it (me, maybe less so!) let me know @Pompompurin1 if you picked one!

I ended up picking Marni Village in Koutouloufari ! Further in land but there’s a land train. For same price as silva beach AI we are getting b&b but with a private heated pool.

The reason I didn’t go for silva beach in the end was that we would end up in the annex over the road (I did check this with the hotel and they confirmed there was no alternative)
