You know the type - calling in daily, breathless with outrage, acting like Meghan Markle is responsible for the downfall of Britain. It’s honestly hilarious at this point. The obsession is unhinged. She breathes and there’s a 10-minute segment on how dare she!

I’m not even a super fan - just amazed that people have this much energy to pour into hating a stranger they’ve never met.

AIBU to think it’s less about Meghan and more about some weird need to rage publicly about a woman who didn’t stay in her lane?

100% in response to your last sentence. The obsession is beyond anything normal and it’s very much a case of hating any outsiders to the Royals, as though non aristocratic women need to stay in their place. Sarah Ferguson had it. Kate Middleton had it. And since Meghan arrived, it’s now focused on her. Unfortunately there won’t be any new brides for a while so the focus will be on Meghan for many years.

Well I guess she's become the natural enemy for many royalists. It's quite strange really as when Diana distanced herself from RF everyone seemed to be fine with it. But I guess she didn't call a load of people racist bigots.

It does seem bizarre to hate on her so much now that she's clearly just a lifestyle influencer type thousands of miles away.

Nothing wrong with mocking her show or her frankly rather mediocre looking products.

But some people just seem to think they're being loyal to the RF by constantly being outraged. News flash, Charles and William and Kate don't care what Brenda from Cleethorpes thinks about them or anyone else?!

It goes way beyond what Kate and Fergie suffered though. Even beyond the hate for Camilla. It's crazy and unhinged.

And what worries me the most is that people just cannot see how they are being told what to think and going along with it. Total media manipulation. But they really think their opinions are their own and have any basis in fact.
