Seems I am not alone though. Perhaps because fewer people are on X (formerly Twitter)- I left it long before Elon Musk bought it.

Wtf is Ed balls day

I left Twitter ages back so no idea if it was mentioned there. I did see something on Bluesky that suggested he’d done it to distract from the anniversary of some political balls-up, which is just giving far more credit than he deserves.

Ed balls accidentally tweeted his own name. I do think it was a ‘you had to be there’ but it was actually quite funny as a lot of people retweeted it (just saying Ed Balls) and it became known as Ed Balls day.

I haven’t been on x/twitter for ages @LlynTegid so you’re probably right.
