I would not normally post in AIBU but child health and sen are normally very quiet esp this time of night.

My child has been on methylphenidate immediate release tablets for just over a month.
He has been feeling quite sick but that seemes to have calmed down.

What worries me is that (esp on one arm) which I thought at first maybe he is wacking his arm while stimming (having watched him closely that doesn't seem to be the case).
Is covered in brusing, some are tiny and some are bigger.
They are all over his hand now and are getting worse.

Of course I will contact the doctors first thing but I'd thought I would ask if anyone had experienced this on this medication (I know it could be unrelated).

Hiya.
It's a known side effect and one that definitely needs to be raised with the prescriber asap (which you're already going to do).
My (then) 6 year old developed physical tics and bruising pretty quickly. I chose to discontinue the medication immediately (in consultation with the prescriber).

I will be contacting them first thing in the morning, thank you.
