How Do You Go About Resolving Important Life Stuff?

I’m not talking about which colour curtains to get, for example.

I'm talking about the more fundamentally important life stuff like when you’re not happy with your life, where to go from here.

In July 2009, I felt in general I wasn’t happy with my life and one lunchtime at the end of that month I sat in my car to try and come up with a solution how to take my life forward.

By the beginning of March 2010 my life had improved beyond my wildest dreams - so only 7 months later!

Since 2017 my life went downhill again and the way I try and work out how to change my life is sit in a quiet room and ask what would a sensible, mature person do in my situation

How did your life change when you did that OP? Did you think about what someone would do and then make a plan and stick to it?

I was 36 at that time had had a Godawful 5 years.

I decided to start fertility treatment. I was lucky in that I had enough savings to give up work for a while. My life changed for very unexpected reasons though! I gave up work in December 2009 and at the end of Feb 2010 I started using Facebook ‘properly’ - remember Feb 2010 was the ‘prime time’ for Facebook iyswim - imo - and I connected with loads of people including a former love interest - the estrangement from whom had caused my 5 awful years so that situation was instantly resolved !! 💪

The way I came up with this solution was to look realistically at what resources I had and what I could do
