Hand holding

At what age did your sons stop wanting to hold hands? With you, or their friends? DS 6.5 still happy to hold my hand, and quite often comes out of school hand in hand with a friend. How much longer will I have this absolute pleasure for? Breaks my heart to
think this wonderful innocence will come
to an end before long

my very cool 14 year old DGS will still happily hold hands with me, and let me swing our arms. It is a joy indeed, and long may it continue.

My ds 11 still holds my hand when out and about but I doubt he'd be so forthcoming down the same road as his school! 🤣

Dd1 really stopped when ds was born, so about 6yo, but she'd hold the buggy.

Dd2 has never really stopped wanting to sometimes hold hands-always on her terms. She's 21 and sometimes even now when out will take my hand.

Ds hated holding hands at the age you want them to. However he started wanting to hold my hand from about age 8/9 through to about 13, maybe even 14. When he was at secondary school I used to try and find something I had to carry if there were likely to be people from school around, but I did rather like it. He's 17 now and if he did, it would be because he was enjoying pretending he thought I was so old that I needed a supportive hand.

Mine is almost 7 and still happy to but definitely doesn’t do it as much. He’s very loving though and loves kisses and snuggles
