AIBU to be frustrated at the ubiquitous long hair pics (featuring moneypieces, baby lights or smudged roots)

I have been trying to find a scissor-skilled hair stylist as I’m wanting to take my shoulder length hair shorter and nervous about a restyle. But I have no idea which stylist to choose as all I seem to do is scroll through pages and pages of long hair, often with extensions, often with a “bouncy curl”.
I get that it showcases their colouring talent but for the large percentage of women that don’t have waist length hair - AIBU I’m thinking a bit of variety wouldn’t go amiss, demonstrating that they can do more than a decent one length colouring job 🤷‍♀️

Totally agree - I have short hair and most of the images are irrelevant to me. I'm starting to think it's because a lot of hair stylists aren't actually that good at cutting!

I don’t suppose you need the same skill to just trim the ends off long hair. And as everyone wears their hair long now the skills to cut shorter hair are dying out. Good cutters are like gold dust. I sympathise OP. My hair is a mid neck length bob. I have a fabulous (male) stylist I’ve been going to for about 12 years. He’s not cheap but worth every penny.

I’m a hairdresser and I couldn’t agree more.
