You ever have one of those thoughts where you see something and are just totally baffled as to how they do it?
Mine is CBeebies related. More specifically In The Night Garden.
At the start of each episode they feature a close up of a child tucked up in bed. The song in the background goes “…like a little boat on the palm of your hand” (or something like that). Then either an adult hand (you don’t see anything more that just the hands and the child’s head) does a little swirl around on the very sleepy child’s outstretched palm.
The thing that confuses me is it’s a different child every day. The set up is always the same. Same bedding, lame camera angle, same lighting, etc. So how do they get so many (must be dozens) young children to lie still and be very convincingly sleepy while someone does that to their hand and they’ve got a camera shoved in their face??
I have spent far too long thinking about this totally insignificant thing.
