This 'brand logo' is despicable? (Possible TW)

Apparently theyre called 'Aape' but you can clearly see that they have changed the first 'A' to have a little flick coking off it that clearly makes it look like an 'R'.

If they're both 'A's why are they different? Theyre all capitals so its not lower case.

Who would wear this shit??

I saw it straight away as aape, think to see it any other way is a bit weird. Don't look for problems where none exist.

So why does the first capital 'A' have a flick on the lefthand side like an 'R' can, but the 2nd 'A' doesn't? Why are they different?

I didn’t bother reading the post, first, just looked at the photos, thought “Oh my!” and then read the OP’s post.

How can you not know that the first letter always has a little differentiation on it to mark it as the first letter as part of normal design etiquette. Also as someone else said why on earth would a for profit company self sabotage. It looked like AAPE to me. Just because your mind interpreted it like that doesn’t mean it is that or rest of the world sees it like that. Honestly so many hysterical posts on here lately! 🙄

It's very clearly intended to be seen as saying that, and the brand name is clearly intended to be misread as that in marketing. Pathetic of them.

So why is the first letter different to the second one, even though they are supposedly the same letter?
The letter A doesn’t usually have that extra lead in as per the font used in the OP.
