Egg sandwich

My husband just made me a fried egg sandwich. Without asking he smothered the egg in mayonnaise. AIBU to say this is sodding gross.. Hot egg and mayo!

I couldn’t eat a fried egg sandwich full
stop (the mismatch of unpredictable textures just makes me shudder even thinking about it 🫣) but if I made one for someone else it would be butter, sauce of their choosing and the fried egg. Mayo has no place in it (unless the weirdo in question was choosing it 😂).

Mayo is the “sauce of my choosing”. I don’t like ketchup or brown sauce. We’re all different!

I love mayo, but it goes in a fried bacon sandwich - ideally with lettuce and tomato..

He needs to back to the drawing board:

• White bread
• Lashings of butter
• Fried egg
• Ketchup

Voila!

Wouldn't cross my mind to use mayo.

Fried eggs with their horrid crispy frilly edges and overdone yolks are dead to me.

A lightly boiled egg mixed with mayonnaise and maybe some cress ? Another matter.

Just had one earlier, but I switch the egg up, it's like an mini omelette. Then the tomato sauce on top.

I LOVE chips dipped in mayo but mayo on a fried egg is all kinds of wrong

This is the start of it all OP, it is the script. First he starts making you food that nobody with taste buds would eat and then tells you he never truly knew you. He is gaslighting you with this poison. Fried egg and mayo... i actually churned a little.

Ketchup or chilli chutney are definitely the way to go.

It's grim putting any sauce on a fried egg sandwich. The yolk is the sauce, a bit of salt maybe but anything else is wrong!
