To think if your heartthrob was born in the 1960s … this isn’t unreasonable?! *lighthearted*

I’ve always had a crazy crush on someone who was born in the 1960s. I was even invited to his 21st birthday in 1989.

But that's the thing - if I had a date with him now - I imagine him to look exactly as he did in 89 -

lean
fresh faced
good looking etc etc 😊 - that’s the version of expect to see walking in to greet me!

on his Facebook account there are no seemingly current photos just one early 90s photos of him with his family. Still - he’d look now just like he did circa 1990/91 right??

please humour me 😭😭😭

so - I’d expect him to buy me a Diamond White or Diamond Blush … ❤️

Nobody in their 60s looks how they did when they were 21, even if we think we/they do!

Surely it's because you haven't seen him aging over the years that you still imagine him as he was

Yes he’s big technically in his 60s as 1968 born but yes I’ve not seen him age .. so maybe .. he hasn’t ??! 😭🤣

I think Howard from Take That was born in the 1960’s. I always think it’s ludicrous when we see them now, that a 55 year old man is leaping around doing breakdancing. Surely his knees must be knackered.

I think IKWYM OP. Not the same thing exactly, or the same decade, but in my teens (80s) I really fancied a certain pop star and when I listen to his music I tend to picture him looking now as he did then. Saw him live at a festival in 2022 and he so doesn’t, naturally as he’s decades older. 😂 I think our brains play a sort of cognitive dissonance trick on us with this kind of thing.

I’d just like to add that my ex I was dating until very recently was born in 1969 and the best looking guy I’ve gone out with to date! He’s one of those lucky ones whose hair just genetically retained its colour and in good shape, dressed well so just saying there is the odd nugget out there haha!
