I’m quite low key, don’t like anything fussy, flouncy etc

What's it made of and what will the weather be like when you're there? Polyester in high temps would be horrible. To me, that is quite fussy.

olympicsrock · 19/04/2025 15:03

Not keen OP I’m afraid Fabric looks a bit clingy.

BakedBeeeen · 19/04/2025 15:03

Are you the bride, or a guest?

Rictasmorticia · 19/04/2025 15:05

I like it, especially the colour. It looks a mixture of classy and casual

Terrribletwos · 19/04/2025 15:05

I think it looks lovely but would be aware of the fabric which could be quite clingy in a hot space.

Maybe go for something linen or cotton.

Pippa12 · 19/04/2025 15:07

I think it looks like that fabric that looks wet when you sweat. I got married abroad and it was bloody hot, even at 7pm at night.

Lascivious · 19/04/2025 15:09

Um. Are you tall and reed slim? I think it could like nice, if so. Not sure if that fabric looks cheap from the pic.

HundredMilesAnHour · 19/04/2025 15:10

Er, that dress looks fussy and flouncy to me. 🤔It also looks VERY polyester. Sweaty and keep well away from naked flames. Is that your only choice?

YessandNno · 19/04/2025 15:11

Sorry, but I think that's inappropriate for wearing to a wedding.

Marylou2 · 19/04/2025 15:13

Where is the wedding being held? Are you going to be in a Catholic Church with Spanish people? If so, I wouldn't wear that. In a hotel in Benidorm, possibly.

Zeitumschaltung · 19/04/2025 15:15

Depends where in Spain in terms of style. Not suitable for a church wedding because of the uncovered shoulder (unless you can flip the other side over the shoulder too).

IWillJustSayThis · 19/04/2025 15:15

I like the colour but do not like the dress. It will look awful after a few hours of v hot sunshine.

How old are you and are you a guest or a bridesmaid?

IWillJustSayThis · 19/04/2025 15:17

The dress and 'scarf' will be sticking to your clammy, sweaty skin. It's really not suitable.

KimberleyClark · 19/04/2025 15:19

Too clingy around the legs.

squashyhat · 19/04/2025 15:29

It looks like a nightdress with a curtain thrown over it.

Kudder · 19/04/2025 15:31

I’m 5 ft 3 and a size 8

Fine for a wedding but to me looks like when you've got half an outfit turned inside out when hanging out washing. Or you've missed an arm sleeve when putting it on.

Sorry, but I think that's inappropriate for wearing to a wedding.

Why tho?

What's inappropriate for a wedding other than bra and knickers?

Watermill · 19/04/2025 15:38

Is the wedding in a church? You might need to have shoulders covered.

I don’t like it, it looks like it cost £12 from Shein…

Not a church wedding

I think there are much nicer dresses about.

Is it a summer wedding? That extra fabric, polyester and heat are not a good mix.

cramptramp · 19/04/2025 16:15

I wouldn’t wear that to a wedding anywhere.

To me, it looks like underwear or a very skimpy nightie/negligee.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 19/04/2025 18:08

I'm not a fan, if you sweat you'll be covered in wet patches, cotton all the way if it's going to be hot
