Police at door, ex accused of something!

Posting for traffic.

Police turned up at my door for a welfare check. They were asking if my ex had been harassing me (I got a non molestation order 6 months ago, police were never involved). I was taken back so the whole visit lasted 2 minutes and I didn't ask any questions.

I contacted them the next day as I wanted to know why the visit now. Next day two plain clothes officers turned up - apparently he's been accused of something but they couldn't tell me what in case it isn't true!

They said he was fine to be around the kids for their contact at the moment, and they would let me know the outcome. They were looking for his address as he's moved recently. Any ideas what this could be? I'm worried it's something that could threaten my safety, why else would they do a welfare check?

It could be anything. Do you know if he has a gf or an ex? My first thought that if something happened with her then he might have contacted you because you’re also a female and an ex.

It sounds like it’s not about something he did to a child so you don’t have to risk his wrath by withholding contact.

As far as I know he doesn't have an ex or current gf but it's not impossible.

I wouldn't dare risk his wrath by withholding contact! The police said the children's safety was top priority.
