What to do for car seat on holiday?

I was wondering what to do re car seat for holiday transfer for our baby who will be 5.5 months when we travel. We have been told it could either be a coach, minibus or taxi and car seat from them cannot be guaranteed (not that I would massively trust it anyway). I think the drive is 15-20 minutes.

We are flying with Jet2 so allowed two items of luggage for our baby, so that’s not a problem.

I just don’t know what to do here- we could take our infant carrier but I’d be worried it would not be treated carefully in the hold, buy a new one specifically for holidays - but would we get an infant carrier or a bigger seat, as we won’t likely go abroad again until she’s at the point of outgrowing the infant carrier?

I’ve been told I am overthinking and that most people wouldn’t take a car seat… thoughts on that?

Advice welcome, what would you do :)

We just took our infant one. You can wrap it up to protect it in the hold.
It's now more awkward with a bigger seat!

Honestly, in a coach or taxi for 15 minutes I would just hold the baby.
