To think it’s unwise to put too much trust in men?

I’ve always felt it’s important to maintain some level of caution, especially when trust is built over time. Am I being too sceptical or is it just a smart way to protect yourself?

I think to tar all men with that brush is probably a bit extreme, unless you have had some particularly terrible experience.

When you meet anyone new - colleague, friend, neighbour, or potential boyfriend - it makes sense to get to know them over time before getting too involved emotionally, or financially, or in any other way.

But I agree with @MidnightPatrol suggesting all men aren't trustworthy makes you unreasonable. However YANBU with this

I think it's unwise to completely trust anyone, man or woman.

I agree OP. However I feel the same about anyone, even women.

It doesnt mean all men or women are bad or wrong. My experiences mean that I will never fully trust anyone even if I wanted to.

My dad told me as a child that all men are bastards. He's not been far wrong yet in my eyes. 🤣
