row over wordle

So I do Wordle each morning. My SO was looking over my shoulder as I was on guess 3 and making general comments which is fine. I put in guess 3 and got the first 4 letters when he then shouts out the correct answer. Now I was a second or two behind him with the correct answer but it could only have been that answer as there was no other alternative. I was pissed that he shouted out the answer, its my game - if he wants to do it, he can set up his own account. I didnt ask for his help. It has now errupted into a row about his never helping me with anything again. AIBU?

DH both play and would never tell each other the answer.

It's annoying yes, but this isn't worth getting into a proper row over. It's just a game.

You'd have exploded if you'd had one of my old jobs - I did quiet lunchtime shifts in a pub, the regulars used to nick my paper while I was serving the occasional walk-in and fill in crossword answers. Or - proper chaotic evil - think they knew the right letter for the codeword and fill it in in pen 😆

Yes it's annoying but no worse than someone blurting out a spoiler to a film or TV show. It's not the hill to die on.

He sounds annoying. I play it with my morning cuppa and it took 6 goes today!!

There is a wordle group on Facebook. I was always amused by some of the arguments that erupted on there.

I’d have been pissed off too! Even if I’m stuck on go number 6 and ask DH to have a look, I’d be spitting chips if he actually told me the answer instead of just giving me a clue 😆

A bunch of us play, and sometimes play together via text if we're free at the same time, saying 1g, 2y etc for what letters we've got. Very occasionally someone will get it in 2 or something when playing by themselves, and in their glee just send a screenshot of the answer to one of us before we've played. Ruins our day!
