Period, gushing/ flooding and pain like labour pains and age 55 with full blown menopausal symptoms too.
AND… AND a sore throat, aching bones fuzzy head with 3 hours sleep last night. (Thanks ds for your germs).

AIBU to be in my bastard pjs at 17.17 on a Sunday afternoon under a blanket super dreading the work week ahead.

Paracetamol not touching the pain but easing my sore throat somewhat.

Gaaahhhhh.

I think you need to call in sick tomorrow - I certainly would if I were you.

Worriedmrs · 13/04/2025 21:26

Definitely call in sick tomorrow. My gynaecologist asked me to take ibuprofen to lighten my period and it did help. It might work for you too.

Stillearninglife · 13/04/2025 22:18

Really avoid ibuprofen because of previous stomach issues.

Do you know what, I have enjoyed excellent health my whole life, other than horrendous periods which you just get on with don’t you with zero fuss, but since hitting perimeno, I’ve lost control of it all.

My voice has gone now so though I have lots of meetings tomorrow (on line) I can’t talk anyway.

Taken some night nurse in the hope of some relief and sleep. đŸ˜´
