i thought we were pretty clued up parents. We have spoke with dd (13) about dangers of online activities, about effects of porn (because we found out a close frind of hers was accessing), we have her phone locked down to approved apps, and adult content blocked and I regularly check her phone/messages. However yesterday I checked her Internet browsing and found a tab opened on character ai. This is not flagged as an adult website however my dd has managed to access and talk to characters with explicit stories. I've googled and apparently character ai do not allow this but its not true! Its very easy to find/create stories with inappropriate content. I will be reporting to them but doubt it will change! We've blocked access directly now obviously but I'm so upset she has been exposed to this.
