DH and his flatulence

So my husband has recently begun farting (loudly, frequently, almost proudly), virtually all day long - he works from home and I have become sick of it. It’s like he almost enjoys it as if it is stretching an itch for him, but it is starting to make me feel physically ill. AIBU?

Has he changed his diet to lentils, beans and dried apricots? Why do you think this is a sudden change of gas emissions compared to before

Roxietrees · 10/04/2025 19:50

Did he not fart before? How come he’s only started now? Has he got some gastric issue? Maybe he can’t help it if so, and needs to let them out!. Tell him it makes you find him less attractive, that’ll soon make him stop

LittleGreenDragons · 10/04/2025 19:58

Has his diet changed? Or has he mentioned any other digestive problems such as heartburn etc?

Or does he just let most of them rip when he's in the same room as you?

AlertCat · 10/04/2025 19:59

Why has he recently started this? What does he say about it? Have you told him it’s repulsive?

PeopleTalkingWithoutSpeaking · 10/04/2025 20:01

Ugh, he'd have to have a very good reason and be very apologetic if I was to put up with that! What is his actual problem?

TheNoonBell · 10/04/2025 20:06

DH is racid after he's been on the ale the night before in the pub. Proper farmyard and he takes great pleasure doing a New Zealand Haka style dance before farting.

Ooo raaa eeeh <fart> heeey ya ooo ra

It has never been funny and never will be.

Divorce or sleep in a separate room

That actually is funny I’m afraid.

HerNextDoorAgain · 11/04/2025 01:25

Cant beat him, join him? Out fart him?

TalkToTheHand123 · 13/04/2025 20:36

Spray half a bottle of airfreshner everytime he does it. Should do the trick!

ThatNimblePeer · 13/04/2025 20:38

Tell him you lose all desire to have sex with him when he farts in front of you.

SmugglersHaunt · 13/04/2025 21:10

Quickly bottle it next time, then release it under his nose as he sleeps
