Switch 2 preorder

Any non techie mums trying to get a switch 2. ? We told ds we would get him one for his birthday (end July)
saw something yesterday about preorders so had a look. Sold out everywhere in hours and people who did secure one are getting august dates for delivery!
im now watching for stock but will more come in before June?
if we leave it until after the initial rush will it still be available in July?

Any advice appreciated!

You might be able to get one in curry’s, they are doing preorders in store only.

I just googled it and very is still letting you preorder as a bundle - says in stock. Why not do that?

If you want it by July I would try to pre order. They only release small numbers at first, it creates a hype and build up. The switch 2 has also been anticipated for years so it's going to be popular and a sell out.

Thanks that’s what my dd said. I assumed it would be easy enough to get after the initial release but maybe not.

There might be more waves of preleases. I also know people who have multiple preleases on order because of past issues (I think Argos, and some other sites, overpromised with ps5 stock and cancelled on people), so it might be that more are available once stock allocations are confirmed closer to the release date.

HMV have just announced pre orders now - there’s a queue but you could be lucky if you’re quick

I went into my local curry’s dropped on as they released 10,000 today so I got one!! Thank you everyone.
