Live abroad (not hot, but predicted sun & cloud on Easter Sunday)

Parents are coming to stay, I wanted to do a nice Easter lunch, any ideas? 🙏

This but done on the bbq?

Or a Greek or Lebanese style slow roast lamb with lovely salads

Well we bbq at Easter - but we bbq on Christmas day too (I remember dh shovelling snow off the bbq lid one year), so we are possibly a bit odd 😂

You must cook lamb at Easter - it's the law!

I did this last year, you braise it on a low temperature for 7 hours It's very tender and falls off the bone, and everyone absolutely loved it. Just be aware you have to brown it off first and it does smoke a hell of a lot. I got up at 4am to get it in the oven and woke up my whole family setting off the smoke alarms 😄

I did it with roast potatoes and creamy leeks, can't remember what other veg, probably roast Carrots, roast parsnips and boiled Broccoli.

But lamb is traditional for Easter

I know, but I hate lamb, or anything with rosemary. Same as Christmas, I bloody hate cinnamon and it seems to be in everything.

I cannot stand lamb, the smell, the texture. Big fat no from me.

I do a 5 hour slow roast lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and braised lettuce/peas. It's a tradition.
