Sharp pains after hitting head.

Posting for traffic, sorry.

Was messing around with DH this morning ( around 7.30am ),playfully, and he accidentally head butted me in the side of my head, initially felt fine we laughed it off. Then around an hour later, started having a headache and nausea.

FTR, I have health anxiety, so did what nobody ever should, and googled it. Came up how people have had bleeds on the brain from a light knock. I then started to feel nauseous. Have tried to keep my mind off it all day, but I’ve still got a headache, and now shooting pains over the side where the knock took place.

Should I call 111 or something? I didn’t think it would’ve been hard enough to of caused any damage, it was at the side of my head, right side about halfway from top of ear to crown.
i’m just a bit worried now about it, i dont know if the headache is coincidental or not.

No dizziness or vomitting, wasn’t knocked unconscious or anything like that. Did fall asleep around 2 hours after, purely because I was anxious.

Thank you guys, just wanted to see what level headed people would do, because my brain will always think emergency emergency, due to the health anxiety. Thank you.

Have you taken paracetamol (2x500mg) and/or ibuprofen (400mg). There's good advice here & hopefully it's reassuring

Hey, no I’ve not taken pain killers, the pains isn’t that bad, felt it more after a full day of work in front of a screen concentrating.

I went to sleep for a bit and woke up a tiny bit better, so I’m guessing that’s a good sign 😂
