MIL’s “help”

DH just forwarded a copy of a long message from his mum about how he works so hard and that he needs a break, he’ll burn out and nothing is more important than his health. “Darling, you must take plenty of time for you!” DH giggled when he showed me because it’s almost becoming farcical how many of these type of messages he gets from her whilst she simultaneously avoids any suggested meet-ups to see DH and her DGC who she proclaims to love all over social media.

It’s starting to feel a bit personal as unless the kids evaporate for a few hours or the business runs itself, I’m the only one that can give DH a break and I wonder if these are very unsubtle digs at me. At this stage would it be unreasonable to text her to say “you’re right Sandra. DH does need a break. Shall we drop the kids off with you tomorrow at 10?” 😂
