To take DD (10) out of school for 2 days?

To go abroad over bank holiday weekend. DD is in year 6. Would be after her mock SATs, but before her actual SATs start. The Friday afternoon is a trip to the cinema anyway so not missing 'school' time. This will save hundreds on the trip as opposed to going in half-term.

I've booked it but her Dad is not happy and kicking off about it.

Who is being unreasonable here? Is 1.5 days really a big deal at this point?

Are you still with her dad?

Is her dad going as well?
Is there any chance you could be fined for this - if you are, you'll both be fined.

No we aren't together. It's not over his contact time with her.
I have got agreement from her school to take her.
