To ask if anyone knows about UC? Am I meant to declare this UC/2 bedroom rate and DS staying at girlfriends

Am I supposed to declare this because I'm confused?

I recieve UC as I am a full time carer for my disabled Mum and because DS lives with me we get the two bed rate for housing.

Normally DS spends one or two nights a week at his girlfriends who lives with her parents.

This next two weeks because they are in work more hours due to the holidays and a much earlier start he is staying four nights this week and the same next only as girlfriends house is very close to work.

He lives here normally bar the one day a week, he doesn't pay rent or bills at his girlfriends, he does have bills here, he does share buying takeaways or tea for him and his girlfriend.

Am I supposed to tell UC about this because he's spending so many nights there?

Help!

Where he spends the night and where he is officially resident are two different things. He isn’t based at his girlfriend’s parents’ house. He lives with you.

It sounds fine, his bills are at your house , he's not moving in there. Think about it as if he were on holiday for 2 weeks, you wouldn't report that.

No, you don't need to declare it. He hasn't moved in with her.
