To not want to phone customer service while we’re at work

We’ve had some furniture delivered, we checked it at night and find it’s come damaged. However, the only contact method is a phone number or online chat both of which are only available during working hours. Both myself and my husband work full time in stressful jobs without enough hours in the day to get everything done so to spend 30 mins out of our work day to phone in for something so simple is just so annoying.

If they had an email we could email at night with pictures of the damage and then it’s job done.

YANBU, I think most companies should at least have live chat these days so you can work whilst waiting to connect.

It seems very outdated for the only method of contact to be a phone number

The problem is live chat doesn’t work well either my husband has very little signal at work to get this to work and I’ve tried it but get so distracted with work whilst waiting for them to reply that the chat ends. I just want to send an email that takes me 2 minutes to write at a time of my choosing, and then it’s just done and isn’t an errand for the next day I have to remember to do.

YANBU, but if this is important to you then I’d be more picky about who you buy from.

I'm sure you'll have a lunch break, just do it then? If you want it resolved then you don't have many other options really

Google the customer care email address and request a call back, it might work. Returns are always a pain.

Thanks all, just so annoying I can’t have an email address, our days are so full on we can’t waste time on phoning up about returns, it’s so annoying.
