To be worried about DCs eating/breathing in melted plastic?

DCs have just been to their nans for tea and after they had started eating she told us that the tray she had left dinner on in the oven on had melted around the edges. The food itself didn't have melted plastic on but the edges had completely lost their shape and flopped and to be honest I did think something had burned when we arrived but just assumed something had caught in the oven. They didn't eat a lot but ive just googled and worried myself sick. Do I need to be worried/ do anything? Dh carried on eating it after she told us unphased and thinks im being dramatic which us possibly true but google is never optimistic!

I ate many oven ready meals with slightly melted ( and very melted ) plastic as a kid and 40+ yrs later I'm still here
