for Estate Agents to request your date of birth on their confirmation of instructions form? Why do they need to know when solicitors have all the details?

Does it matter? I’d assume it’s an ID check thing?

Yeah, you’re probably right. I just don’t remember giving these details to an EA before. I thought it was something the solicitor dealt with.
