Peanut App - is it worth it to meet mum friends?

Has anyone used Peanut, the app to make local mum friends?
Please share any experience of using the app.

I didn’t really take to it - joined my local NCT classes instead and made an incredible group of friends through that!

I can’t remember which app I tried but it was a similar one for making friends and I found it was mostly a lot of women involved in MLM

What is MLM?

Selling stuff. Pyramid scheme selling like Herbalife, wax melts, Usbourne books, body shop.

I didn’t find it great to be honest. Much preferred making through my NCT classes - just seemed less forced from my experience

I've met a couple of really good friends on Peanut. There are no NCT classes locally to me so I found it to be a good alternative.

I had no luck on Peanut. Most of the mums on there were 10 years younger than me and we didn't have anything in common. I found certain baby and toddler groups to be a much better way of meeting other educated/professional mums.

And possibly because you had something in common?

I haven't used it, but a friend of mine has and found it great and has made a few good friends
