I’ll drink wine all day, travel the world extensively, shop, watch films, read books, walk, exercise, lunch with friends

I am retired and this is me! However, travelling the world as a cat mum gets expensive in cat-sitting fees

You'll get toxoplasmosis though.

You’re going to stay at home with your cat while travelling the world extensively?

I’ll hire a pet sitter or get a friend to cat sit

Get a bonded pair and you’ll feel less guilty when you’re away. Although they’ll gang up on you once you’re back.

CheesePlantBoxes · 01/04/2025 17:46

Foster cats instead. All the flexibility, none of the fees, plus you're helping animals find new homes.

Where are you going first? X

Kind of flexibility but you never know how long the cats are going to stay for. My fosters ranged between 2 months and 8.

Getting two at once is a great idea

You can send them back for a holiday though, espwcially if they stay a while. Ours let us. We had some for over a year. We don't usually foster when we plan to go away.

Great choice! 👍

EmpressaurusKitty · 01/04/2025 17:59

I rehomed 8 over 2 years. The 9th has moved in permanently.

shellyleppard · 01/04/2025 18:00
