Perhaps the swimmers should wear swimsuits that actually cover their glutes. If you look on Youtube (at competition divers for example) it appears that thong style swimsuits (so naked backside) are now the norm. I am old and grumpy and do not understand why any woman would choose to wear one, however beautiful their figure is. I also do not understand why the various sports organisations rules allow these immodest swimsuits.

So nothing to do with what swimsuit they wear and frankly that's victim
blaming. Would you be so sanguine if it were little children having their picture taken when they are changing?

I think competitive swimsuits, at high level anyway, are mandated by the team, aren’t they. There have been complaints about how women athletes are forced to look good for the male gaze first and be athletes second, and a few teams have got together and protested at events like the olympics. Smaller folk are at the mercy of corporations and what they choose to provide.

One thing’s for sure, we are squarely back in the world of men’s rights and women as sex objects.
