Beautiful hands!!

if you have beautiful hands (like the ones you see in films and magazines) what do you do?? I get that manicures make your hands look good but how do women get those toned but utterly feminine hands??? I really want to know!!!! It’s not so much nail polish or length of nails it’s that toned appearance that I am wondering about

It’s luck, I’m afraid. Well, genetics.

DollopOfFun · 31/03/2025 18:38

You can keep the skin soft and the nails groomed, but ultimately you get the hands you're given.

Genetics, a lot of handcream and a good manicurist.

PaintYourAssLikeRembrandt · 31/03/2025 18:41

No idea, mine look like little fat sausages stuck on a potato 🤣

Nothing elegant about me.

TheChosenTwo · 31/03/2025 18:42

I’m constantly slathering on hand creams and hand masks and still have the knuckles of a 90 year old woman (no offense to any 90 year old women intended here). I’m 40.
nothing works to keep my hands beautiful but I’m not really fussed, only use so much hand cream because I hate having dry hands but can’t lie, would love to not have wrinkly knuckles 😂

It’s chance. I have nice hands like that ( shame about the face!)

babymaybebaby · 31/03/2025 18:43

I have elegant hands with long slim fingers & nice nails, it's just genetics.

Lollylolo · 31/03/2025 18:46

Genetics. I have long slim fingers and nicely shaped nails, I got them from my grandmother. They are not hand model stunning but they are one of my best features and I often get comments from friends/colleagues that I have nice hands. Same can't be said about the face/figure but there you go!

I also have quite nice feet, similar in that my foot is shapely and I have nice toes and toe nails.

Overtheatlantic · 31/03/2025 18:50

Genetics. My mother had beautiful hands and feet, delicate and well shaped, and I have the same. Too bad I didn’t inherit low body fat and shapely calves. 😬

If you’re overweight it does really show on your hands too - I lost 3+ stone and my hands look so lovely now, comparing photos from before is like night and day.

It depends, my ring finger is still an I.

TheChosenTwo · 31/03/2025 19:51

I don’t know, I’m 4st down and my fingers are slimmer (no bloat) but skin looks more wrinkly. I think the fat was puffing out the skin more 😂

Nooa · 31/03/2025 20:00

What do you mean by toned? Fingers don't have muscles so can't be toned. Do you mean not much fat and smooth skin? If so, the answer is reasonably low body fat and genetics.

My hands are actually my favourite body part. Not because of what they look like though. It's because they are strong and useful and they never hurt me or let me down. I love them.
