I had a C-section a week ago and I’m up and about indoors, back to normal chores and running after a 3 year old too. He’s desperate to get back to nursery and I’m thinking can I do the 10 minute walk there? It’s downhill there and uphill back. Plan is the 3 year old would stand on the buggy board. I’m thinking it’s too early as I’m still healing. am I being too precious?

Walking is fine, in fact don’t they encourage it? I was out for a walk with the buggy quite quickly. I had a 4 year old to take to school!

You should be fine with a 10 minute walk, and would probably get more rest not running after a toddler all day.

I would do the walk, maybe leave a little earlier than usual so you can take your time

I reckon you'd do many more things they tell you not to do if you kept the 3 year old home. I'm sure the walk will be fine.

with risk of being TMI make sure you’re wearing maternity pad even if you’ve not really been bleeding so far. I did something similar to what your thinking and the walk was fine and I felt fine after it but I had to waddle the last 200 meters at speed back home because blood was running down my legs.

I'd definitely get him to nursery. It's going to help him by maintaining his routine and also you by giving you a significant chunk of time during the day where you don't have to run around after him.

I think it depends on how you feel
Some ppl will be ok earlier, some take a little longer. It's hard to say for someone.else I think.
