Have a lie in and then enjoy a day with nothing I have to do.

Why 😬

Going to a donkey sanctuary & having an Indian delivered for tea. Doubt very much I’ll even get a card from DD16

I'll be thinking of my Mum this is my first mothers day without her here. My daughters are very sweet and have given me some presents already.

Coffee in bed, card and gift for me.

Then I'll probably make my daughter a card to thank her for making me a mum (🤮 I know! Hut she loves crafts and we can spend time together at the table)

Out for lunch with MIL and family.

Home for a cup of tea. Maybe a bath.

All good stuff!

Be delivered tea and toast in bed along with cards made by DC at school. Go to church as normal and get my usual bunch of daffodils. Pretty normal Sunday otherwise. Don't like fuss.

Dd is home. She is making me a late breakfast and taking me out for a meal in the evening.

Go to the gym, visit MIL and have a takeaway, visit DM on the way back.

My mothers day always takes a back seat 🙄.

Well I had planned on cooking a roast dinner for my lovely mum (and dad) and mum in law. But yesterday my husband informed me that he wants to cook it because it should have a break on Mother’s Day. It feels a bit weird to be honest, I’ve cooked ever other year. My kids are teens but I don’t think about me being a mum on Mother’s Day, it’s all about the grandmas as far as I’m concerned. They’re getting pretty old now and we don’t know how many more years we’ll have them with us so want to make the most of it. I know my kids appreciate me, I don’t need them to make an effort on a set day for me.

I'll do the usual sunday, go to Tesco, then visit my sons grave, change his flowers and spend some time with him.

Later on I'll get cards and have coffee and cake with my daughters.

It's also my 1st Mother's Day without my mum, it's her funeral on Tuesday.

Visiting my baby twin boys resting place with flowers and a chat. Lunch with Dh at a market.

Do what i do every day look after myself also got to pack as going to spain for a week.

It's my first one since my teenage son died of cancer. My daughter is taking us out for afternoon tea, so that will be nice but I'm expecting it to be a difficult day for me.

Work 😩

MD is in May here. Tomorrow though will be like normal-walking the dogs, visit my daughters grave, bake and get ready for the week ahead.

It’s my first one since separating from h. There’s a card in my eldest’s bag and one he made at school. Nothing else and I live across the sea from my family. So nothing.

Because not every single mother deems it necessary to 'celebrate' Mothering Sunday?!
