I want to go back to mediation

XH and I agreed to go along with the then tweens desire in meditation to alternate weeks staying with each parent.

50/50 split only fair to try to fund 2 x 3 bed properties.

After 18 months of pushing DD away, XH bought a 2 bed property. Meaning that DS is the only one who stays with him alternate weeks. DD does not have a room at his.

If I'd known he was going to be such a bastard to DD, I'd have fought for more money on the basis he wasn't going to provide her with a home.

AIBU to want to go back to mediation?

PS: I know I won't try to go back to mediation, but this issue riles me if I think about it too much... Then I remember I'm the winner as I've got both my wonderful DD and DS in my life, unlike the shit of an XH

Is dd his? What a bastard

Hope dd is coping okay and knows she's loved by her mum x

Yes, both DD and DS are his.

He was such a great dad when they were little-i don't know what happened and why he pushed her away so much.

Maybe it's because she had him on a pedestal, and his awful behaviour towards me knocked him off it from a height. She'd not let it lie if she felt he was out of order, that's for sure.

Is your divorce final and your financial settlement agreed?

Globules · 27/03/2025 21:21

Yes. All agreed and finalised a few years back. Only after that happened was he able to buy his 2 bed property.

You can't go back and renegotiate your divorce settlement unfortunately. Mediation on that subject would be pointless. I hope you claim maintenance for her however?

Can you put in a CMS claim on the basis that contact arrangements have changed?
