Convinced i have mnd

Can't sleep. Since 5th November have had weakness on rhs. Right leg is weak. Neurologist agreed. Just noticed my right calf is smaller than my left. My right is dominant. I'm convinced I have mnd. Hope I'm being silly, but I'm really, really worked up. Mri normal, nerve conduction normal. Can anyone talk me down?

What is your neurologist's plan? Are you having more tests?

Your neurologist is the best person to advise you - what tests has he arranged going forward?

The chances are it isn’t MND, although having lost someone very close to me I totally understand your fear.

Please speak to tour neurologist and your GP asap x

I have no idea, his waiting list for a follow up is 3 months (6 for some)

I spoke to my GP and they said wait until I see neurologist. I asked if I could have some blood tests to rule out deficiencies but they said no, neurologist has to sign me off.

OP there's nothing to stop you buying finger prick blood tests online for various vitamin and mineral deficiencies if you want to rule them out. I like Medichecks but they aren't the only ones who supply such kits.

You sound like you have health anxiety. I'd suggest asking for help with that.

I don't usually. Two people in my family have been diagnosed with mnd in the past 10 years. Don't really like talking about it. It has definitely increased my anxiety though.
