Intrusive thoughts

Does anyone know what works better for intrusive thoughts, citalopram or Sertraline? I took citalopram after my second but doctor wants to prescribe Sertraline this time.

Fluoxetine worked best for me (Prozac). Hope it gets better for you.

You need a combination of CBT and meds. The thoughts will remain unless you tackle them with therapy.

I had awful intrusive thoughts after a trauma a few years ago. I tried out a few different meds inc mirtazapine and Prozac. Sertraline was amazing for me but I did also see a therapist when I was able to. CBT did nothing for me. X
