Anyone else getting a lot of far right content in their news feeds?

Primarily on Facebook.

Just recently I’ve had a LOT of far right content (and I don’t mean conservative - I mean really awful blatant racism, homophobia, sexism etc) pop up in my Facebook news feed, as suggested content.

I haven’t been clicking on anything different than I normally would, so not sure why.

Is anyone else getting this? Is it media manipulation, or am I a conspiracy theorist?

I'm not now; but some years ago. Facebook once offered me the BNP as a site of possible interest!

No but I’m not one to think that everything I disagree with is a far right thing. I’m seeing way more left wing stuff tbh. I’m centrist btw

Nope but then FB is just fluff - not a source of actual 'news'.

I don't think I've ever seen any far-right stuff, in my feed, on Facebook apart from the stuff that people take the piss out of.

I have noticed more right-wing content, or just more political content in general. It almost seems like it is testing out what I interact with/ what I respond to.

I try not to respond at all but some of the content has made me do a double take/ have a wtf moment!

I have noticed this on Twitter.

It’s getting more extreme too - graphic pictures, sexual content, conspiracy theories, promoted content from the likes of Alex Jones etc.

Very bizarre.

I get zero far-right content in my Facebook feed.

Facebook content moderation policies have changed. They are going the way of X which is basically a cesspit of hate and disinformation now.

I guess it depends on what you follow, I follow a lot of political stuff generally and yes I’ve seen an increase in disinformation.

I snoozed Reform not that long ago because I kept getting it.
