Trump reverses order banning large law firm from accessing gov contracts unless they fall into line, remove all their DEI policies, presumably sack the partner who managed the January riots claim against him (good luck finding another job in a large US law firm) and sign off on a sycophantic and craven ‘joint statement’ with the White House, all of which they agree to.
Aibu to think that the US appears to be sliding towards openly ‘gangster-style’ authoritarianism? We already know from his packing of the Supreme Court that trump has no time for the role of the rule of law in a genuine liberal democracy, but this is extraordinarily blatant and in your face bullying - ‘I dare you to challenge me’ - and it is horrible to see law firms falling into line like this.
