It used to have some amazing comedians and comedy on it. Now it's just turkey teeth and reality shite like that annoying Hammond woman.

I think this type of fundraising tv marathon has had it's day really. It's been crap for years!

They have taken to showing a lot of the old stuff. Have they ran out of ideas? I liked the strictly gag tho and the oasis one. The rest was pretty poor but it raised a lot of money. Didn’t like any of the presenters tho.

It was great in the 80s but it's definitely had its day now 🤔

These telethons have definitely had their day. They’re so dated and cringey now.

Its just embarrassing - surely in 2025 there’s better ways of engaging the public to raise money for good causes

She was notable for being the only one in the long line of presenters who hadn't got the 'red and/or black' memo - with her white shower-puff inspired number!

I think it's interesting how they now only go on until 10 o'clock or so. Granted, this year they had the extra 40-year compilation; but they always used to go on until about 2am, with the family bit before the news, then something a bit different on BBC2 whilst the news was on, then the more 'adult' stuff back on BBC1 after that.

I quite enjoyed a number of elements of it last night, but I think you have to have a realistically low bar: if you're expecting to split your sides from mirth from beginning to end, you're going to be extremely disappointed.

The Oasis sketch was really funny - I can’t seem to see it on Iplayer though to show dh. The equality St song with Ricky Gervais was funny too and I liked Chappudy G/Asim Chowdry as a presenter.

Jamie Laing's five ultras in five days was really great. Haven't watched the Friday night TV bit in years though!

The oasis gag was spectacularly awful. It would have been ok if it was a 3/4 minute sketch but it went on, and on, and on, and there seemed no end to it. Embarrassing.

Yes the Oasis part was far too long. Initial Manc/eyebrows/swagger is amusing but that's all.

I didn't watch the whole event but on seeing Carol Decker I just felt sorry for her. Never been a fan.
