My hand is itchy, burning, sore! And I'm about to cut it off! I've had it once before and was given steroid cream, didn't say what it actually was but it's back it's worse and I want to scream! Any ideas of what it is??

One of my thoughts was psoriatic arthritis but only because I know of someone that suffers with that. Hands and feet.
not all arthritis shows in bloods so don’t be concerned if it doesn’t but make sure a referral is in for that dept.
a type of eczema was also on my mind! Someone else has also mentioned that too.

keep documenting and seeing GP, make sure referrals are in to relevant dept at hospital too!

It could be something you have cooked with- I got something similar when I cut up loads of chillies- it lasted around 3 or 4 days.

Chilblains maybe ?

I think it could be rheumatoid arthritis.

Hi have you considered trying natural cream? I work for a company called tropic and we do a product called Tamanu balm and it’s an absolute life saver. Let me know if you would like some more info xxxx

Have you have a viral infection recently? They can cause this 'nettle rash' reaction in hands and feet, as part of your immune response releasing large amounts of histamine. Its happened to me before. Antihistamines should help.

Yeah, I suggested this upthread. Mine started in pretty much the same way. OP needs a referral to rheumatology, but l think she mentioned upthread that her GP had ordered blood tests, so hopefully this is the next step. She may have to insist though because RA blood tests are specific and not all forms of it show up.
