To feel like I should have done more with my children today?

Today the children woke at around half six, we had breakfast, washed and dressed, they played with toys for a while.

Went out to a group at about half nine, there until half eleven (includes travel time.)

the rest of the day has involved a bit of playing with toys but mostly I’ve just had the TV on for them.

feeling really guilty.

Tomorrow is another day. Are they fed up?

Saw this on a FB post a few weeks ago when I was feeling exhausted and guilty that I hadn't done much on a weekend with my children.

Just because

Just because it's a lovely day outside, doesn't mean you need to take your children out to enjoy it.

Just because it's a miserable day outside, doesn't mean you need to make the most of it and spend all day catching up on housework.

Just because the children are finally asleep, doesn't mean you need to utilise the time to finish everything you haven't had a chance to all day.

Just because someone else is looking after your children for a while, doesn't mean you need to prioritise your to-do list over things that bring you joy.

Just because it looks like everyone else is doing everything, doesn't mean you need to.

Mama, you are allowed to rest,

Just because.

You got back at 11.30 and posted around 4.30, so if you take out the time they had lunch and the bit of toy players, they had maybe 3 hours TV. Not ideal but also not going to do them any harm. It's quite sunny here, if it's nice we're you live can you get them out in the garden for a bit before it starts to get cold/dark
