Obviously I did it just to spite my 15yr old

I broke the shower this morning.
Obiously I did it purely to spite my 15yr old and no one else could possibly be as inconvenienced as her by having to have a bath instead.
What things have you done on purpose purely to make life difficult for your teen (according to your teen)?

Similar here, the hoover broke, I can’t afford a new one right now and my 14DD is really cross.

7.30 am

Her: You are the worst mother in the world. I hate you.
Me: I’m going back to bed.
Her. : Why?
Me: You are a teenager and you hate me. My pinnacle achievement for today has been realised so, I am going back to bed.
Her: But, but, but …

To be fair …. I was 13 going on 14.

Grandma: What movie do you want to see?
Me: Puberty Blues.
G’ma: Are you sure? It’s over 15’s.
Me: Absolutely. Mum and Dad took us to the drive in on the weekend to see James Bond. That’s over 15 so I am allowed.

We saw Puberty Blues. In 1981.

On the phone that evening
DM: You took my mother so see what?
DM: My sister and I have spent some years keeping your G’ma innocent of the literature and movies going around today. It has taken you one day to undo all our work. Thanks very much.

Your 14 year old knows what a hoover is? Luxury!

I am 51 and have never forgiven my mum for not buying me a pony!

I should probably start saving for the years of therapy she will need! 😂

DD1 - I wore a pink coat to collect her from school and other kids could see me 😲😲
DD2 - I danced in front of her friend in my own kitchen. She was so ashamed she cried!

To be fair she does like to clean her room, or preferably for me to clean her room. It has to be just so.
