To think a fat bank account and a big ego are a fair trade for a life well-lived?

Some people say money can’t buy happiness but I’d argue that financial security and unshakeable confidence (even arrogance) can lead to a fulfilling life. After all, wealth provides freedom and confidence opens doors. AIBU to think these two things outweigh most other life concerns?

I think wealth and being comfortable would definitely solve a lot of my problems.

Money is a necessary but not sufficient condition for happiness.

Life is certainly easier with money but not necessarily happier I don't think.

If you're living off of someone else's hard earned fat bank account, their big ego is likely to lead to misery.

I think any life with money will be easier than the same life without.

However, even though money can assist, it can't make serious illnesses disappear. It can't make infertility disappear. It can't stop you having children with major SN.

Depends what you have to do to get the money, and what the alternative would be.

Ie, if you have to work really long hours at something you don't much like in order to be rich, while you're probably still going to be happier than someone who can barely meet their basic needs, you're probably less so than someone who earns enough to be comfortable doing something they don't like.
