I had a c-section nearly 4 weeks ago and I’m getting mixed answers when I ask when I can start driving does anybody know when I can start driving after a c-section?

whenever you feel safe to do so- maaaybe some insurance policies have a specific number of weeks needed but I've not come across it. If you can do an emergency stop and have the seatbelt dig in to you then it's ok, but if you think you'd hesitate to brake suddenly because you knew it was going to hurt, then don't drive yet. I think I drove after 3 weeks

Speak to your insurance company. There is no law but different companies may have different requirements. I rang my insurers and they said whenever I felt I could safely do an emergency stop I could drive again. So I did after two weeks

I got lots of conflicting advice too. Ur insurance won’t cover u bla bla bla. I called my insurance company and they weren’t that bothered but said u can check with ur gp if it’s ok. I got a doctors telephone appointment as I couldn’t wait until my 6wk check up. He said as long as I felt able to drive I was fine. After my second section I didn’t bother to call as what a waste of time!
