A friend of mine was recently fired for what their employer called gross misconduct - they took a Microsoft Teams call into the bathroom with them. They thought they were being discreet (camera and mic off) but someone overheard noises and HR got involved. They think it’s an overreaction and that plenty of people take phones into the loo. I think it’s pretty unprofessional and totally understand why their employer took action. AIBU to think they brought this on themselves or was sacking them too harsh?
