Don't worry about it. Don't post all that often and a while back saw that someone had my mn name as part of their name, which i've had since joining in 2005.
Didn't bother me but earlier this year, they asked me to change my name as they thought I had just joined and had taken their name.
There's enough room in mumsnet for all of us with similar names. But I did get mine 1st

Sorry LyraSilvertongue I do think you are a little bit unreasonable here.
There are so many names already taken when you sign up to mn, and maybe her name means something to her (If I was to guess I'd say she was born in 1975, but no idea about the Lyra bit).
Her name isn't very like yours compared to other similar names on here. I am pot of tea (because I think tea should be made in a pot, never in a cup, yes bizarre I know), but I know there is a cup of tea or somesuch on here too, and the name teapot was already taken when I signed up a few years ago.
Probably a lot of names are taken but the person hasn't posted her in years, so maybe a recycling system where posters who haven't signed in in 2 years or so have the name made available again to new posters.
