Setraline?

I’ve been suffering with a gynaecology issue for about 15 months now. I get Bartholin abscess on average every 5-6 weeks and it’s hell. I actually can’t describe how bad it is. I’ve had my privates cut open 9 times by the hospital and a few times I did it myself.
I’m on a waiting list for a big surgery but I’ve been warned the success rate is extremely low and it’s a horrific recovery.
I’m self employed so naturally my income has taken a huge hit being in hospital so often in a year.
My doctor said yesterday they want to start me on Setraline to help my head. I’m not sure how I feel about this because my head is all messed up because my body is all messed up. My head being a mess is a byproduct of a medical issue. I feel like we are treating the wrong problem. Can anyone give me any advice? And if anyone has suffered these awful things and could point me to a miracle cure I’d be grateful
